Dodge Charger Daytona or Plymouth Superbird.

What is a Mangosta?

Hmmm...   :scratch_one-s_head:

very "loose" rendition, thereof, but I concur with Jeff.

Might be a repop. I think Booth did a repop. Maybe OS as well.

Lexan body is a Plymouth Superbird. The Mangusta is eye candy only. Horrible oversteer, (twisting flexible chassis) overheating and no leg room.

Update:
After checking, not a Lancer #991 body.

I had that body.

It was probably the first one I painted, after buying a Badger 200 air brush, as a 13 or 14 year old.

IIRC, I used Ulrich French blue, which was a reasonable facsimile of Petty blue.

It came out, as smooshed bodies become popular.

The only distinguishing feature, about it, to tie it to a Superbird, was it's nose.

My best guess it was a Dynamic, or while I don't remember if Lancer ever produced anything that non-scale, possibly one of theirs.

On a long shot, maybe a Champion.

I doubt it is a MAC.

I don't think that company existed, at the time, I bought that body.

Anyway, I'm guessing PDL, or Steve O'Keefe, would know in a snap.

FYI
Catalog cut, Lancer #991 and others.

Blue body as posted does not appear to be a Daytona Charger by Lancer.

That #517 is a 4 body not like the 4.5 Daytona body Lancer created. Another indicator is the side ducts behind the door that only appeared on the Superbird...
