Well folks its time for another enduro. The Gator Region Retro Racing group is proud to announce our 2nd annual endurance race, this time going for 4 hours for IRRA® GT Coupe cars. This event will be held on JUNE 22 at TheRaceway.Biz in Melbourne, FL. We will cycle through the lanes two times, running 15 minute heats with a 2 minute lane change period. Entry fee is $90 per team which includes the cost of 2 hand-out motors.

The following rules will be applied:

- All work on the cars must be performed under green flag conditions, such as, changing tires, changing braid, fixing the body, etc.

-During the 2 minute lane change period, teams may oil the car, pop the body, and straighten out the braid. No tools allowed at the car during the 2 minute lane change period.

- All cars must remain at the track at the position that the car came to rest.

- Hand-out motors will be used; two hand-out motors will be issued to each team (included in the entry fee). A 3rd motor will be available for purchase.

- Spec tire: medium hub JK Treated tires. All tires must be purchased the morning of the race.

- Spec gear ratio: 9/28

- Ground clearance will be checked two or three times during the race at the discretion of the race director.

- All cars must maintain at least 0.040" ground clearance. If a car is found with less than the specified clearance, the car must be removed from the track after the car is driven back to the drivers panel.

- If any team smokes a motor, the team can purchase a third motor from the raceway.

- If a car is being worked on in the pits when a yellow is called, work on the car can still progress.

- We will enforce a motor change during the race. This was proposed after last years race. Details to follow.

Schedule:
Raceway opens at 8 AM; power turned on for 100 minutes
Motor hand-out at about 8:10 AM.
Tech opens at 9:30 AM; tech closes at 9:45 AM.
Review lane change rules and other rules at 10:00 AM.

Race to begin soon after.

Team Captains: From last year, a list of team captains have been identified.
TonyP
Terry Tawney
Jay Guard
Brian Ambrose
Jeff Bonanno
Arron Rothstein

Mike Bresett

Doc Dougherty

If you can not make this race as team captain, please contact me as soon as possible.

With the change in date and scaling back the race from 6 hours to 4 hours, hopefully more racers will get involved.

More news to follow.

Alright! Good news from Jay and Jeff. I will be talking to some of the racers at the next GRRR event at South Daytona. The switch in dates will give me more time to get things lined up; not to mention the race day plaques.
