Just finishing my build on a '57 T-Bird for our gas class at Mr Slotcar in Melbourne, Australia.

Car has been painted in clear blue over a silver base. It has a scratchbuilt chassis with Chinese stainless main rails. Power comes from a Parma 16D with a Pro Slot super 16 arm built by Peter Dimmers from Mr Slotcar.

I just need to do a few more detail items but I will post some results when I get a chance.

Tom

Beautiful car Tom. Could you show those of us with a chassis fetish, a top side photo of the chassis too? :laugh2:  Not a big deal, but is that 1st photo printed backwards? The white class lettering & numbers appears so.

Thanks Bill my camera on the back of my phone is scratched pretty bad so the only way I can take photos at the moment is with the selfie camera that's why the pictures are backwards.

I will take some pictures of the top of the chassis tomorrow.

Cool that the style of chassis is still the way to go 50 years later. Great car.

Thanks Tom! :) I forgot to mention I like your dump tubes. They have "gasser" all over them.  I notice your AT (adjustable timing) endbell is set at zero timing. Have you had the chance to see how the car runs with a little more advance timing?

I thought I would put up some more photos of this car which I have now done some sign writing on it(with posca Textas it wipes off with a little elbow grease)the car also won the gasser class at this year's Australian scale drag nationals & gets 1st or 2nd most of the time at our regular races.

I got second place with it last night when I redlit in the finals knowing I had lost I took my finger off the trigger before the finish & the car got out of shape in the braking area you can see the results in a couple of these photos the pics at the line are of the T bird with my other gasser.

Ron glad I brought back some memories for you.
