Lots of great memories, thanks for the great pictures!

Nice pix of a flock of Eagles (with some interlopers) :)

Thanx

Great shots.  I plan on being there on Saturday and possibly tomorrow.

Yes great shots. That 82 Eagle #56 is scary. why not just set on the front wing and drive.

That #6 right below it looks like Phillipe's Eagle.

I like the one's before they started using all the airfoils on them

Agree with you Butch.    I still like the race, but the cars leave me flat.   Why not just run full fenders, they are  close to that anyway.

Last weekend I watched the late Sunday qualifying.   They showed a bit of Saturday, too.    I also watched the 71 - 500 film on Youtube.   I miss the importance and the interest that was still evident back in 71 and today it's no big deal at all, except maybe to the racers.    Living in Indiana, the 500 has always just been a really big deal and I hate that it and other forms of racing are not what they once were.

I will still watch, though.

Driving by the Speedway to get a race car in the next state Chuck Crawford says, "Yeah my Dad raced at Indy." I was dumbfounded. I had known him for 20 years, been on both Slot and RC races with him and this is the first time he mentioned it.

RIP Chuck, we miss you. I'd like to hope you are swapping stories with your dad, including hand gestures.

Unfortunately the #12 Eagle had contact with the wall today and came back on a flat-bed.

Some guys didn't have such a fun day... The awesome number 12 car pictured above was wacked pretty hard, driver escaped with only a couple broken feet.
