Just curious what they looked like and the mold maker.
Some made hundreds of bodies, so how did they make the molds so fast.
If anyone has any of the old molds and could post some photos would be nice.
Thanks gene

I agree that this would be a fascinating subject!

Tom Andersen, had Russkit bodies among those he repopped. Getting ahold of him today is nearly impossible.

Bill, do you think Tom ever had any original molds? I never heard him say he had any original molds. i thought he just over poured old bodies to make molds.

I believe REH had a lot of old molds. Bob's daughter Kim would have them now.

I did find this while looking for you Gene. Most are a bit rough and basic. But you might get something out of it.Sound is bad.Sorry about that.

Gene, this is what I was actually looking for. Philippe had posted these pics I thought were interesting.
A production setup, the small angle bolted to the base plate most likely used to control webbing, or ?
Very nice example.
Thanks g

Eddie, where are all these molds today? Still in a private collection or at the LASCM? Someone with a vac former would have fun pulling some of these. Are they mostly 1/32?

These are a combination of 1/24 and 1/32, which is what MESAC ran, switching back and forth. Roger is in possession of these, plus most MESAC original documents in binders (rules, sign-in sheets, applications, etc.) which he is organizing in his home. It's fascinating stuff.
