I have been searching without success for an organization with technical rules for Formula E 1/24th.

The bodies below have been sized to be used under a modern 1/24 flexi chassis.

We are considering importing them if there is interest in running a class.

Panasonic Jaguar (1).jpg

Question: If someone started a series with these bodies, flexi chassis and a spec FK type motor, would you be interested in racing them?

I would be interested in getting a body and seeing what the thing would do.

Maybe with a spec motor, chassis, pinion and tires.

...that formula E is quite ugly,

IMO there are few racing cars in the modern era that could honestly be called "beautiful". Function over Form has run riot.

IMHO current LeMans prototypes lead the world in ugly :shok: Even when they are in my favorite color scheme

YMMV

Cheers

I think these bodies may look better than the 1/1 FE cars do.

That's  not saying much for them though.

if your cars are fast enough & they handle okay, why do you care how ugly the body looks? Or your paint job either?  :laugh2:  :laugh2:

We ordered 15 of them and Betta Classic said the order was lost. We had to change to a different body as the new season starts Wed. Gatewayslotracing.com

That's unfortunate- Ian has taken good care of me in the past.

Just curious what rules you are using?

I have put things in motion today to add these to the lineup and run them as a series.

Cool. I hope it is a huge success.

Is there a U.S. distributor on these?

IE - Eagle or ERI?

I'm all for slow, but do you know how slow an 18K motor is?

I was asking about what kind of 18K motor you had in your rentals, back 3 or 4 years ago, when you were open?

The only 18K motor from back then would be a blue painted H & R.

The lowest RPM JK motor was the Hawk 25.( obviously 25k RPM)

I just I just can't imagine people traveling to race on "big" tracks, with a motor that slow.

I skim your long posts, but I get the impression that you think slot racing is somewhat dysfunctional or certainly not what it could be.

But you try to come up with a new class that no one in the U.S. is racing, with bodies that you have to get from England.

When UK racers try to order $10 worth of collars or $20 worth of weighted guides, from me, I have to remind them minimum shipping is going to be $14.50, whether they like it or not, and it doesn't matter how crappy I pack it.

PS- I've heard of Formula E, but I missed it, if there was some sort of buzz about it, in the US.

Looking at their schedule, it looks like they had one race scheduled, this year, in the US, out of about 8 or 10 races, total.
