The only 18K motor from back then would be a blue painted H & R.
The lowest RPM JK motor was the Hawk 25.( obviously 25k RPM)
I just I just can't imagine people traveling to race on "big" tracks, with a motor that slow.
I skim your long posts, but I get the impression that you think slot racing is somewhat dysfunctional or certainly not what it could be.
But you try to come up with a new class that no one in the U.S. is racing, with bodies that you have to get from England.
When UK racers try to order $10 worth of collars or $20 worth of weighted guides, from me, I have to remind them minimum shipping is going to be $14.50, whether they like it or not, and it doesn't matter how crappy I pack it.
PS- I've heard of Formula E, but I missed it, if there was some sort of buzz about it, in the US.
Looking at their schedule, it looks like they had one race scheduled, this year, in the US, out of about 8 or 10 races, total.
