Hello everyone,

Okay, here's a reach...  Anyone have a schematic for the AMCR electric lap counter?  An original AMCR or AMF promotional packet might have one, not sure.  Before I plug mine in I'd rather do some connection checking to try and find obvious shorts first.  Also, would be sweet to know which wire connected to which lane for the appropriate counter to tick over.  This is a picture from Buzzy's website, and I know he's got several.  I'm sure Mike at Tom Thumb in Columbus still has at least one, and I'm sure that Peter at Modelville in Ashland has at least one.  If I have to travel and am allowed to test I will!

Thanks in advance!

I'll check and see if I still have the manual.

Thanks Mike.  By the way, YEARS ago when I was working in Columbus and stopped by a couple times I told you that I had a bunch of the original Americana GT track car chassis, and that I hoped to get some going.  Gene Adams has made me some perfect bodies, and Martin Windmill has offered to modify the motor carrier to take 36Ds instead of the MPC Dynocans.  Just need to find a good replacement guide to use instead of "the monster" and it's "American Model Car Raceways Throwback Race" time!

That would be great. Unfortunately I have a ton of the original lock in slot guides now virtually worthless. I will let you know next week on the manual.

I have found one way to trouble shoot old pinball games without frying them. I start with a 9v battery instead of full 120v power. This will sometimes show short circuits without too much power. Can't say if it will work on the lap counter but it may be related to pinball counters of that time.
