Yessir Tony ! Jenkinsons and Wharfside are still standing :o although to my surprise,both establishments as I recall :blink: strong-armed me out to da boardwalk for falling off the bar-stools and unruly behaviour !! :shok:

A good point and wisely taken. John's Can Am looks mostly like an F-1 with simple side pans fixed to the plumber rail. This is awsomely simple to build and obviously fast. Sometimes folks try to build super secret skwerley stuff because they think they are outsmarting everybody else. Fact is, something like Johns' build is probably better 99% of the time. Trick hinges, stretched rules and all the rest are probably (mostly) counterproductive. Stuff that works is proper flex, wheelbase, weight dist, and the tuning of downforce and tires. The rest is (mostly) frabba-jabba. Despite the differing approaches, all three podium cars from that race display generally similar characteristics.

Now.....having said that.......I........have in fact, re-invented the wheel. Ya'll will soon see.......... ;)
