Thanks for all the kind words and support, guys. The bodies that are already showing up in pictures all look great.
I've seen a lot of talk from people here on Slotblog and Facebook, asking if they can cut out the side vents. Yes, that is legal, however personally I would steer clear of that for following reasons.
I forgot to mention in the original ad that this body has a slightly increased front fender height to reduce body splitting in the top of the front fender, where most other bodies would get thin once the front wheel opening was cut out. A welcoming by-product of increased fender height and angle is, of course, more front end downforce as well. This specific fender height actually routes the air above the deep side vents, which are lower then the fender, essentially making that a dead zone for air flow. For the heck of it, we tried the body with and without side vents there. It worked the exact same in all three configurations tested. We tested the body on many tracks, from the fastest Gerding King in the country to Hillclimbs.
If you want to play with reducing drag/downforce the more effective option is trimming out the "drop-down" spoiler in the center of the body between the two rear fenders, say 1/32" at a time. Be aware though, when you do this it may take some of the downforce and handling away from the car/body but it should increase straightway speed.
