OK, so I lied... unintentionally. In another thread on Cox cars, I stated that I didn't own a Cox Cheetah.

Well, while digging up parts for another project, at the bottom of a box, I found one!

It had huge orange rear tires and threaded axle, but that was quickly remedied. The body is not bad, needs a lower front valance, and TLC, as does the chassis, but all in all not too bad.

I'm a chassis guy Martin, not a body guy.

Look at my real race car pictures!

As long as it clears the tires, we're good on body! ROFL

Got a repro valance in white if you don't mind painting.  Got to figure out the drops needed to colormatch the red.  Had it a few years ago, but...

Jeff, that's a much better looking car than 95% of the junk that goes thru Ebay.

Now, that's a great find Jeff,

And looks to be in great shape too!

What are your plans with it please?

Thank you.

A lot of times the front valance is missing/broken because the wrong drop arm is/was used, the Cheetah uses the short one with the big holes, (part # 16039 should be visible). Very nice looking car.

Well, that's exactly what the situation is was with this car. It had the #3339 swing arm for the regular sidewinder. A little digging through one of the boxes of Cox parts, and I located the ziploc bag of swing arms. There were a couple of the #16039 arms, and I now have a "Korrect" Cheetah chassis.

Now for the front valance, then a good cleanup and detail.
