August's D3 Hardbody races at Buena Park Raceway were fast and a lot of fun as usual.

The first race of the day was the mixed race with 12 entries. 
The mixed race saw Jim Lane set a new total lap record for the 3 C's hardtop class with 252 laps (previous record 249 by Hector Gonzalez). His winning effort was just ahead of Phil Nyland in 2nd and Eddie Shorer in 3rd.
Eddie drove a new Can Am Lola T-70 built by Paul Wolcott ("Pablo" on Slotblog). Eddie's lap total for the Lola was excellent with 256 laps. The Can Am class is new and does not have a Lap Differential yet, but will soon establish one.
The "Racer Handicap" podium had Russ Uppman in 1st with Jim Lane 2nd and Jim Wiseman 3rd.

The second race for GTPs had 14 entries. Phil Nyland won the race with 259 laps with Jim Lane 2nd and Eddie Shorer 3rd.
The "Racer Handicap" podium had Phil Nyland 1st, Tim Herrera 2nd and Jim Lane 3rd.
Tim Herrera became the 4th D3 Hardbody racer to join the "Sub 5 Second Club" when he recorded a 4.988 lap on the black lane during this race.

Also, we have a 5th Sunday in Sept., so we will have races on Sunday, Sept. 29th.

The 9th D3 Hardbody Nats at BPR on Sat/Sun, Oct. 19-20, 2019.
