I will be racing on that track on the weekend of September 7th and 8th. We are having our I-75 Orange Barrel race there. The Orange Barrel race started out as two 6 hour endurance races between Clover Leaf and Grizzly Racing here in Cincinnati. The total laps of the two races determines the winner of the Orange Barrel trophy. Right now Clover Leaf has it and we want it back. It was named the I-75 Orange Barrel race because of all the orange barrels on I-75 between them and us. We will be racing Racer/Sideways Group 5 cars with Piranha non-ball bearing motors on silicone tires.
Mike Stott is also the host of the Michigan 24 hour race. But that race is held at his house in Fenton, Michigan on a totally different track.

I was lucky enough to be invited to participate in the Michigan 24 hour race this year with these cars.
It was a grind, but I loved it. Hope they have me back again (but without the cats!).

On Nelson's tag-along invite, I got to race there a couple of times - really fun track in an awesome slot racing "subterranean man cave".
Gorgeous field of cars, too, from a great era!
Sorry about the nerf. "Sorry? Sorry? There's no apologizing in slot car racing!"
Besides, where would I even begin? I should probably start with my wife ...

The only thing I know about slot cars is if I had a good time when I leave the building! I can count the times I didn't on one hand!

Don't worry, Raisin, you will be invited back.
We've been working on your drivers contract for over a week now. It doesn't pay anything but you get to hang around with me for couple of days.

Wait, getting to hang out with Pappy that is payment enough i don't even need slot cars.
I will have my management team get in contact with you to negotiate my contract.

Courtney,
I have "people," so just have your "people" get in touch with my "people" to work out the details.
Thanks.

Done.

Beware of Butch's hospitality. When we visit him, he makes us stay in his barn.
It wouldn't be so bad if he had a gorgeous young 'farrmer's daughter' to sneak out at night to entertain us... but he doesn't. He won't even let his dog visit...

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

Love it! While I have yet to drive a 1/32 hardbody that made me want to dive deeper into that aspect of the hobby, I watch every post from Clover Leaf. Some very talented 1/32 racers worldwide.
Thanks for sharing.

The local all news radio station here in Motown, WWJ, recently referred to their traffic report as "The Game of Cones".

The only thing missing is the dead deer in the median strip.
I always thought the dead deer in the media strip would make a good Far Side cartoon. The caption would be something like "Deer flock to sacred burial grounds to die".
