How are these different than the ones that are 13 bucks on eBay? I’ve been torture testing one of those for two years now.

How long does it take to heat up?

Looks nice

@Nick - the first step to winning a race is entering the race!

Nick, I didn't win the one on Facebook, I think that contest is still going on. My name was  picked to get another one on Ron Hershman's "Between the Lanes" show this week.

if your $13 iron was any good Hakko and Unger would be out of business

You didn’t answer the question.

well, your question was as vague as can be.

so i looked in ebay and got this

15.jpg

over 600 soldering irons in the $12-$13 price range

i lost my mind reading ability about 10  years ago.

so i would say you really didn't have a question, you just wanted to try and rag on my soldering iron.

please go back under your bridge troll.

but maybe i can explain what this iron is similar to.

it is like the old $50 blue hakko everyone loved and was discontinued about 5 years ago

i said like, i think it is better,  the old hakko was 25 watts and took a while to heat up

the mid america iron is 60 watts and heats up quickly

the old hakko tips were single plated

the mid america tips are double plated

the cord on the old hakko was too stiff

the mid america cord is soft and supple

the hakko iron didn't say anything on the side

the mid america iron has a kool racer dog  logo on the side

also the mid america iron is available to raceways through distributors,  you know so they can make some $$$ and pay their bills

i'm sure there are a few things i missed but i have a raceway to run and soldering irons to package for distributors

So asking a question about a new product makes me a troll?
I have already bought 2 Ukrainian power supplies from you and over 100 HP guides, but I will remember your customer relations skills next time Im in the market for anything.
