Dan,
When you said Lake Charles, I had no idea what you were talking about.
But indeed, there is a decent size lake, but just tucked away where you really don't easily see it from the main street, that goes through this area, Oakwood.
You can see it on Baltimore, which maybe I've been on once.
I sure as s*** didn't know there was a beach, a mile, or 2, from the raceway.

That is the place. We rented a nice home that is next to the lake. Not quite walking distance to the track. But close enough to smell the glue and tire rubber. LOL

Another minor thing for next years race, barring disaster, early next summer, when rebraiding the Donut, I plan to cut a 3" wedge out of it, to dish/bank it more.

You finished 3 laps behind the GTC-PRO winner, and 1 lap out of 2nd, in Can Am, so you did well, but it's great you're looking to do better.
I wasnt prepared for the race. It was a last minute brain storm.

For sure, on being open that Wednesday.
The week of the Sano, on Monday through Thursday, I'm open no later than 9AM, and close at 9 or 10 PM, depending on Howie's level of manic testing. Lol

Yea, we all have to watch out for that Howie guy! However, all great slot car racers test a lot and they know how to test. That's what makes them great. Like my buddy DZ in Florida.
Another big race in Chicago. Howie, am I going to have to pick you up at the airport like I did in 1968?
