Jay, that seems like one extra thing that would need to be checked at tech? I think the way the rules read leaves the builder and racer a little room to experiment and tune. Ovals are fun and more of a challenge then meets the eye.

So sorry I had to miss this race!

Oh yeah.

I had a great time and thanks to Eddie and Elaine Hoffman and anyone else involved in putting on the race.

Not hard to tech. Turn car over and you can see motor chassis and guide are in alignment. You can tell the chassis is centered in track simply by looking at tire to chassis clearance.

I agree with Tony here, we aren't worried about a few thousandths (or even a tenth?) offset here and there. If there is any question the tech director can always measure and make a determination right on the spot. Bottom line is things (guide, motor, body) need to be centered within the track of the car. I'm sure the IRRA® BoD will make the appropriate rule changes to achieve this.

It looks like GRRR got a real good turnout for this race and a lot of good racing. Congrats to Ed.

No thanks to you, Doc. I hope your balls freeze off by Christmas and you will have to come running back. LOL.

Matt,

Doc is like my long-lost brother that I’ve lost again. Same with Grant. Two best friends gone.

970 miles is a bit to far for me to run back to Florida. However, one day I might be knocking on your door; like in February.

I'll miss you too, Tony. :)
