That's what I call "slot car racing". The cars look like cars and they don't have a bunch of additional airfoils that weren't on the real cars keeping them in the slot. It was done with driving skills.

 

I know I'm now going to be accused of bad mouthing all other forms of slot car racing that have airfoil. But who cares.

Thanks Pappy. The plastic model Group C/GT1 cars are quite fast and handle great. They employ production chassis (Scholer, Plafit, Scale Auto, Slotting plus). The chassis are modified to accept 1/8 inch axles and we add custom front and side pans for better handling.
