[Half Fast]

Tim Weigand, a Retro East and NERR racer, has sadly succumbed to cancer. Tim was an excellent racer and a good guy who raced until the end, including this year's Retro East enduro where he was my teammate on Matt Bruce's team.

 

His brother Dan is also a slot racer.

 

Godspeed, my teammate.

So very sorry to hear that. I used to race against him up at Lou Pirro's raceway in NY. He was an outstanding racer and always contested for win... RIP

Cancer is one of those things you don't want letting you know it's there as by that time it's probably too late for you. I've been getting treatment for a cancer in my throat that all the doctors asked what brought me in for action. I have say it was a routing examination of my esophagus wherein the cancers were found, after two procedures and ablation I might make it. The reason for writing here is we need to get tested especially as we age.

 

Sorry about Tim's passing too. Get regular exams.

Not just because of Tim but because of everyone that has a brush with cancer.
