You can buy this rare Dynamic Bandit for only $450.    This is the rare car talked about on Slotblog.

I also noticed a rare Gurney Ford kit on Ebay that is already bid to $300.   It says all original parts.    I don't claim to know much, but this looks like a loose chassis in a box with a painted AMT model body that still have vent posts and the stock fuel filler!

Chance to step up and buy some grade A collectables.

Matt, it's down to $425 now. :laugh2: he states the body is cracked & 3 of the body mounting slots are broken out. I'm not sure someone would want to tape it to the chassis or trash it for something better.

I've been watching an over-priced Phaze III roller with a C-can motor. It started out at $225 or $250. Two weeks later, I see it's now down to $42.50.

I hope whoever buys the Gurney has a steady hand because they'll have to cut the chassis mounting notches in the body, and that body looks like a 65 Galaxie to me.  To be fair the body is nicely detailed (for a street car) and it does have the  hard to find front wheels.

I noticed both those items. Did not notice the Gurney body was AMT. Buyer beware.

The Bandit is $125 on a good day IMO.

Lots of fishing going on.

Then there is this one.https://www.ebay.com...ge/143436645170

With today's vintage slot car market, I think the realistic price on a plain Bandit to be about $45-$65.    All the slot blog talk  has made this plain little car  a little more popular for the time being.   I expect to see them back int he $50 range by next summer.    I sold one about 2 years ago and I think went for $40 or so.    The chassis is not rare at all.   If you watch all the vintage cars for sale, you will see that chassis under other bodies pretty regular.   Gene makes a better than new Bandit body.

This lot with what I think is a Super Bandit chassis sold for $99 with 3 other cars in just a few days ago.

.....or is it a GE motor back half and a Super Bandit front half? Notice the GE motor.

Also the remnants of sticky glue on the Cox Lotus RTR body is on the doors.  A point for the door count if you agree?

Yeah, it's a door car, I was hoping you wouldn't catch it.   That puts you about 2 ahead, I think!!!

If it got cheap enough, I could drive over and pick it up.

It's about 15 minutes away.

Mike, maybe the seller would take a trade deal for new product you have in stock. This Bandit would make a nice stable mate for your Super Bandit?

Its too bad the body slots have been hacked out or broken out, nothing holding the body on now. This is really hurting the price.

I guess it could be fixed with a strip of body armor.

Your chassis is just over the counter parts, it's not any of the rtr versions.

I believe the Bandit seller separated the chassis and sold it. Don't ask me why I think this. But the auction ended with no E-bay Sale. It was at $225 when I saw it last.

What did the fake Gurney car go for?

Harvey, that's a ton of stuff you got there. The Cuc is a little rough but if you could sell the steel chassis cars with the controller you could restore to the F1 car and the Cuc for a fun runner and do alright.

The Super Bandit had the Dynaflex RMM for FT16D motor, not the 26D that you show.

See this thread.

I'll see what I have when the stuff gets here, I may make another transistor controller with the turbo from some plans I downloaded from England, and I'm a Cucaholic , if the stuff gets here Thursday like it's supposed to , I may throw a Cuc together to race Saturday, it's going to be Cox & womp night a Professor Motor's track :)

See this thread.

I could probably put something together if I use this, or buy a 13.00 Dyna motor mount and use the 26d chassis to make a floppy pan or Detroit slider :)

I have to admit to the guilty pleasure of reading the knowledge and detail of these 60s toys. The way some of them have retained value to real and knowledgeable collectors is remarkable. As a late 60s racer I recall the display cases at our raceway were always full of these items, though they were ignored by all of us.

Ebay prices on nearly everything in vintage slot cars seem to have gone crazy lately. Just in the past 2 months or so. Is this normal for the time of year when people are looking for indoor projects ? Been watching for a Cox Chaparral junker to rob a few small bits and ones with absolutely junk bodies are getting North of 50 bucks. 2-3 months ago the same cars would have brought 20 bucks.

I've been looking for a set of Cox ball bearing front wheels for a Cuc for over a year and when they're out there they're a fortune, with Russkit 22s going for upwards of 25 bucks and re-pop lexan vintage bodies fetching 20 bucks, I don't I don't see complete Chaparralls selling anywhere near as low as $20 , unless they have been through a crusher, but good luck hunting.

The ones I was talking about were strictly parts cars. Wrong motors, wrong wheels & tires, rear wheelwells hacked to fit bigger rubber, etc. Restorable cars have always brought decent money.

There's one on ebay for 65 , you may be able to part out what you don't use to make your money right , just a thought
