124 Hemi on eBay produced a very impressive RTR Thingy slotcar for immediate auction!

The car, the Piranha Mk1 just sold for a reasonable amount and I don't know who the lucky winner was but (maybe here on Slotblog).

The Piranha was created by International Engineering to compete with the Manta Ray and similar cars back-in-the-day.

The reproduction body is available immediately from resident legend Gene Adams.

It featured a scratch built brass chassis and an in-line FT26D. I leave a teaser photos for your viewing pleasure...

It looks like a stock 26D.

PS-I spotted this.

Very cool.

He does great work.

Would be cool if he mixed it up a bit.

IOW, brass strip or a slightly different look.

i've been told his name is Daniel Murai. He sells under three different user names. This chassis is pretty much his standard 1/24 chassis for can motors. He's put FK, 16D, & 26D & the occasional Pittcan in it, while adjusting wheelbase & outrigger shapes to fit particular bodies. He's been building these chassis for more than five years that I know of. There was a time when if his cars had a red body, they sold almost immediately.

One of my deceased racers bought a sidewinder jaildoor car from him, probably 8 years ago.
