I am not up on scale cars that much so i'm sure someone can I.D this oldie pretty fast.

It's about 0.030 thick with nice details and straight. Not lexan, it's butyrate

It was very yellow with brown dusty dirt look. I hand rubbed it down with liquid Ivory dish soap full strength and let stand for 30 minutes and a warm water rinse and now looks very good.

This may be a future mold project if it's rare enough.

ok, what is it?

thanks g

Greetings Gene, what is the wheelbase? Looking for something vintage (non thingy) that would fit a 4.5 inch flexi.

Wheel Base = 4" c\c axles

Body width at the rocker panels = 3"

Very rare body Gene, The "White Elephant" one came up on E-bay some time ago and I paid way too much for it, but really wanted it to add to my Pactra cars.

Would the rear tail fins be a problem?

Would you use metal fins in the form tool?

Martin

I paid $5.00 for the body at a model car show.

Yes the mold will have brass fins. The brass fin plates have to be made to the finished fin size. Then the brass fin plates with embed tails will be pushed into the silicone female fin socket so when you pour the resin into the female silicone mold then the resin will flow around the brass fin insert making the finished contours around the fin.
