From the amazing 1951 motion picture "The Day the Earth Stood Still" comes GORT!

The All powerful Commando Guardian of the Universe.

It's deadly laser poised to annihilate any foe. On the Slot Track or otherwise...!

 

Using a Riggen Brass 26D In-line chassis as it's solid structure, GORT is ready for action!

Helmet features Red LED's and a centrally mounted Laser!

Electronics built and painted at Watson Dream Werks in Oregon by senor scientist Jairus.

"UFO" Clear Body by whiz kid Mike Zimmerman a.k.a. 32 Deuce.

Whats under the hood?

 

The Electronic system was built by Jairus Watson and was his brilliant idea after I explained my "GORT" theme paint concept.

It took quite more time to source and configure but scientist Mr. Watson stuck to it until he was satisfied of it's operations.

 

The laser does not beam dangerously as it points down a short distance ahead of the robotic body!

The laser is flanked by two Red LED's on either side of it.

 

GORT is another fun themed thingie in the vast World of thingie slot cars. Hi Kingie!
