I use Tamiya rattle can paint. One light coat of pink, then a light coat of white increases my body weight by .75-1 gram.

anyone know the weight of water base air compressor applied paint?

thinking of getting an air compressor and some one just looking for a good excuse to buy one.

thanks

I think that would depend on how thick you apply the paint.  The best way would be to weigh a clear body, paint it and weigh it again.

For wing cars I only add .2 to .3 of a gram to the bodies I paint.

I am going to be doing some scale bodies, LMP and trucks, in a day or 2 and I will come back here with some weights for you.

Thanks bill that what I was hoping. Guess I need a compressor to lighten up the paint.
