Ball Bearing Shields are made of stainless steel and are the first spacer on the outside of your ball bearings. Their purpose is to keep the other spacers from blowing out the inner race of your bearing in a side impact. With the convex shape there is approximately .008" to .009" gap between the shield and the inner race of the bearing.
In a turn there will be some side loading on the bearing shield but there is also side loading on the bearing without the shield, and there won't be any more side loading than there is on bushings. Using the shield with ball bearings will eliminate wear on bushings and the axle that could create slop and thus chatter.
Retail is $1.99 a pack (four shields) plus $1 for shipping and handling for as many packs as you want. Contact me here on Slotblog or by the email on the header card: "grizzlyracing1@gmail.com."
Normal discounts for raceways is available.

I don't always go the extra mile, but when I do it's because I missed my exit.
All my life I've strived to keep from becoming a millionaire, so far I've succeeded.
There are three kinds of people in the world, those that are good at math and those that aren't.
No matter how big of a hammer you use, you can't pound common sense into stupid people, believe me, I've tried.

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap
