So I have a bunch of Aurora pancake armatures hanging around.

They are loose, not mounted on  plate.

After I clean them up with a good old eraser and get the multimeter out and check continuity , is it safe to say that they are " good " ? Assuming those OHM numbers are alike .

Or this really doesn't prove anything till they are mounted and put in a chassis etc. ?

If you mean will they work- they should.  The balance and straightness count too if you mean fast.

Ted,

I have no idea what I'm talking about, but I think the magic number is around 16.6 ohms comm to comm to comm to comm.

What type of racing do you plan on doing?  I'd love to hear about it and share my thoughts and experiences.

As I read somewhere else on this blog in the past, "Do you have slot car fever?  If so, we ain't the cure..."  HO runs an even hotter temperature, for me at least!

I've had some with some mighty deep grooves, and those stopped working on me, but as long as there clean they will work great.
