Fellas,

The C.A.R.S. Vintage Slot Car Club meets Jan. 2, 2020 at 7:30 PM at The Race Place in Farmingdale NJ.  I propose that themes this year have a direct connection to the month of the meeting being held...that you can explain to the club.

For instance January 2, 2020 suggestions:  "Deuces Wild", or "Full House"...

Pete, I will be there.

I'll be bringing HO to talk shop.  Sounds like Steve will also.

My most humble apologies for not snapping that picture of the test rig with all my time off and the good weather, of course it's raining now :(

Hope you've been doing well, I saw on FB the DTM race was a good one!

Mikey

Fellas,

A couple of pics from last nights meeting.  First one is of Glenn's vintage cars staged for some hot laps on the "big track at The Race Place. The yellow Ferrari car at speed, running an older what appeared to be Champion chassis. It was running some quick lap times that were almost in line with current era slot racers.

Mikey's HO test-n-tune rig that he's use to "dial in" his HO racers. We also had a great discussion about the AURORA HO car production with a collectors guide as reference that made it easy to recall cars of our yoot...

We also had some Jail Door cars making some shakedown runs for the upcoming season with promising lap times...

Hi Tom,

My particular rig doesn't have a dial, the Tyco transformer has a dial on it itself.

On the other ones, the dial just changes the voltage that ends up at the track, just like a regular old resistive controller.
