A little project I started these holidays it's not 100% complete but as much as I can do for now until I chase down a few little parts.

Very nice work! Looks like you used model parts for front axle assembly and attached to body but not chassis? I'm curious why it was built that way? I'm starting a few gasser style builds and have been contemplating a brass and wire front axle.

I saw that car race many times at the old Lions Drag Strip in Long Beach, CA. Back in those days we were racing a C/MP '55 Chevy.  Fun times for sure!

Thanks guys Charles the black part under the body is supposed to be the actual cars chassis & I made it like that just to make it look a little more realistic.

The car actual runs pretty nice on a drag strip.

Tim it would have been a great time to be involved in the drag racing scene & I bet you had some fun would love to see a pic of the ol 55 if you have one.

It really was a great time, and I love that people are modeling the cars of that era.

Me and my '68 Roadrunner, circa 1969. Ran mostly at Oswego, but also US30 and the Grove.

Great looking car Dave,I grew up with old cars model kits & 1960s magazine around it was hard not to have a love for these cars.

I have a Mopar I'm slowly fixing right now a 65 Coronet 500 ht with a 383.

I wish I had a full side-on shot of the car. Ran 11.90s at Oswego.
