Not sure if this vintage production re-broadcast by ESPN years ago has been posted before.
Just wish it was a tad more "crisp" to the eye. Still; it's very cool.
The frames where the winged Chaparral can be seen at speed are priceless.

Wow.
Terrific video; awesome machines and the best drivers of a generation.
Noticed how the drivers spoke in clear, honest and in "non-sponsorship" terms; something one doesn't see very often anymore...
Thanks for posting this.

I LOVED CanAm. I was so disappointed when it came to an end.

Not too many cartoons require you to be familiar with the Doppler effect to get it

Oh The Glory Days. How I used to love to watch that series on TV here in New Zealand.
Coverage of CanAm was always a week behind the USA - there was no "Live" TV coverage then.
Thanks for posting, Richard.
Many, many years ago I had email communications with Dave Despain, trying to see if we could get more screening of the CanAm racing, which I was told he had the rights to. Sadly, we were never able to get copies of that racing film
Does anyone have anynore links to these races?

A great episode from a fantastic series. Enrichened by the great interviews by Chris Economaki.
