Fun video about a dad buying a Carrera Go 1/43 slot car set to enjoy with his pre-K son Clark.

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

This could very well be the future in a world minus routed commerical tracks.

Building a routed track for home use is not really that difficult. The Bensenville group I used to race the plastic 1/32 cars with started with all plastic snap track. But once they learned how to route a track, one by one they all converted to wood tracks.

So the plastic track won't end slot racing. But it most likely will go underground, literally. Basement tracks will be the new norm because the cost of having a dedicated building for a track will become too high.

My dad used to do all sorts of wood projects, and would usually let me help (sort of). If five to seven year olds can learn to run CAD software and operate 3D printers and CNC routers with minimal adult supervision, I think they can help dad build a slot track.

Nice video!

I set up a Tyco track for my grandson when he was about that age. All he wanted to do was do was crash.

He should have never shown that boy in the video the turbo button.
