Not sure if this broadcast has been posted before.

Really takes me back to my childhood.

My uncle Ed, an automotive mechanic by trade, was a Vietnam veteran. He loved all things cars and "bikes" AKA motorcycles.

Uncle Ed used to take his son Mark and me to US30 Drag Strip in Indiana after he came home from his second duty tour with the 101st Airborne.

Enjoy this terrific vintage broadcast.

Proud to drive an American car, from an American manufacturer, assembled by American workers.

I own a car from each of the big three: I have a Ford, a Mercury, and a Lincoln.

They Drag Race in Oklahoma? "Only TWO things come from Oklahoma..........."  lmao   :laugh2:  Wonder why Mr. Garlits was commentating instead of driving? I have gotten to hang and chat with him more than a few times at the U.S. Nationals. My all time favorite drag racer.(Among  a few, choice others.)

Great video

Pretty good video. Lots of them on the net, even some from local tracks and showing names long forgotten.
