Tamiya Japan revealed their upcoming Ford Mustang GT4 1/24 unassembled plastic model kit at the Nuremberg Toy Fair this past week.
The kit is a curbside and is supposedly based on the Mustangs built by Multimatic for races such as the Bathurst 1000 and the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Grand Sport class.
According to the photos above of the kit contents, it will not be possible to build a stock Mustang from this kit without extensive modification and scratch building.
Rumor has it that there is much interest by aftermarket detail and decal companies in accessories for this kit.
The stock number for the kit will be TAM-24354 and it is expected to be released in Japan approximately late March 2020.
No information on pricing or when it will be available in North America is available at at this time.
