Got busy recently and painted a few. Every time I paint, I try to learn something new. I think vinyl tape (instead of regular masking tape may be an issue for me. Maybe I stretch it too much and it lifts, or the hair dryer between coats makes it lift a little. I did two cars in a "black with a fade" theme. On one of them, I used Tamiya tape for the thin striping and I used 1/8" auto body masking tape for the other. The Tamiya lifted a bit and the masking tape didn't. Or maybe I didn't make sure it was solidly stuck down. You can see the black paint bleed through on one. I like the Tamiya because it's a little narrower and looks better IMHO. Plus the vinyl tape is better for curves. Regardless, I'll have to pay more attention next time.

A few painted bodies for the New Year...

Nice work.
For what it's worth, it has long been my experience that vinyl tape simply does not stick as well as a good quality masking tape, especially over uneven surfaces.
