It’s a little after 10 AM on Saturday March 14, 2020. Normally we would be teching Can-Am entries and talking about the great racing the day before in the GTC classes.
It doesn’t seem right to be writing this post instead of being there with all of you. Good Lord willing we will see you all in about 360 some days from today.
Be safe and take care of yourself and each other.
We miss all of you!!

Well, Mike, with the Coronavirus going around you would probably have had to cancel the race anyway.
More important, is there any updates on Cindy that you care to share with us? I know everyone would like to know how she's doing.

I don't always go the extra mile, but when I do it's because I missed my exit.
All my life I've strived to keep from becoming a millionaire, so far I've succeeded.
There are three kinds of people in the world, those that are good at math and those that aren't.
No matter how big of a hammer you use, you can't pound common sense into stupid people, believe me, I've tried.

I miss being there, Mike. Even though I haven't raced in a few years, I enjoy seeing everybody, and talking about the "good ol' days." And tell Cindy I miss her lunches. They're way better than what I normally fix for myself.
Next year for sure!

We would have probably had to cancel/postpone considering the coronavirus to be on the safe side. That wouldn’t have changed how much we miss the racing.
Cindy is recovering but it will be very, very slow. We are told the average is 24 months after the type of surgery she had. In her case, she has ended up back in the ICU twice (nine days then 12 days) since because of life-threatening infections. But she has bounced back both times way quicker than expected. She has the will and the strength. We just need to avoid theses “speed bumps.”

Thanks for the update, Mike. I won't call that great news since she's been in ICU twice but that is encouraging news. Tell her we're all praying for her and looking forward to seeing her again.
Let me know when you want me to start sending you emails again. I quit because I figured you had a lot more important things on your mind than the emails I send you.

I was thinking Thursday morning, "Gee, I would normally be loading up my car with my slot racing gear today for the R4." How much the world has changed with our close slot racing friends and the world as a whole for all of us in a single year.
Hopefully things will be back to "normal" sooner than latter.
Good health to Cindy and strength to the McMaster's family for the future..

Glad to hear Cindy is still fighting.
The Retro Weekend plan for Modelville Hobby did get canceled.
Not sure what NERR's plans are and I think they do not know either.
Once NERR figures out what they are going to due Modelville Hobby will figure out if we can make it a full weekend of Retro race like we planned.
Would any Midwestener or other areas be interested in a race in August and run on the American race tracks we have?
Maybe there is sites in New England your family might want to visit at the time also.
Cindy get well, Mike. Take good care of her but do not forget to take care of yourself also.
Everyone else stay well.
