Never heard of it. And it's "Steube", not "Stuebe". Sorry I can't help.

This is a spring clamp made from a piece of banding iron. Here is a sample of using the Steube clamp.

Jeff,

 

Here's an example of using Mike's spring steel clamp to push an axle tube down and tight against the uprights for soldering.

I was fortunate enough to watch Steube make a few chassis while I was starting out!  Very good technique's and helpful as a rookie builder!! I made a few of these simple clamps and they do work great to simply hold your parts in place while you solder!  Simple, and effective!
