March's D3 Hardbody races had a lite turnout (due to Coronavirus?) but two record setting performances by Gonzo (Hector Gonzalez).
The mixed race had 10 entries with Gonzo setting a new total lap record for the Trans Am class with 243 laps (old record 240 laps by Eddie Shorer). Phil Nyland was 2nd with an excellent 257 laps with his Short Track NASCAR mustang and Keith Tanaka was 3rd (Short Track NASCAR). The Racer Handicap podium was the exact same podium finish.
The GTP race saw Gonzo set another total lap record with 268 laps (nearly 269 laps!) eclipsing the old record of 266 by Jim Lane. Phil Nyland was 2nd with 265 laps and Jim Lane 3rd with 264 laps. This was probably the fastest GTP race ever with the top 3 finishers totalling most laps ever as a podium group. The Racer Handicap podium had Gonzo 1st, Phil 2nd and Doug Jacks 3rd.

The next D3 Hardbody races on Sunday, March 29th (5th Sunday). BPR open at 10 am, first race (GTP) at noon followed by the Mixed race.
The Trans Am Enduro on Sunday, April 19th at BPR. 8 teams are signed up.
