Anyone have one they want to sell? I prefer new, but open to a good used one as well.

Thanks!

If my Rick's jig got hit by lightning today, I'd get one of these, a Precision model 2022. I wouldn't even blink. The only hardship would be having learn a new jig. I'd get over it and probably never look back

The only advantage of the RGEO over the Precision is you can build both 1/24 & 1/32 scale chassis on it. With Precision you;d need separate jigs for each scale.

Precision Slot Car has stock on all of their jigs.

You might also ask Mike Swiss for the jig that he sells at the shop.

I’m also looking for jig, found out that RGeo was out, have been looking at the Precision jig. Anyone know if they can be purchased through my local track (would like to give Fantasy Raceways the business)?

The only jigs I have now are my original Champion soapstone block, and a Cobra Formica-topped one, from the late ‘60’s.

Mike Swiss sells a similar jig for scratchbuilding?

Yes.

The Backtrack Retro Pro, the original multi-pin jig(inspired by the Champion slate jig of old)

They are $135.00 retail, and sold to raceways at a nice discount,

Below is a pic of one, without the pins in place.

If it looks similar to the jig in post #8, it's because that jig came out after the Backtrack.

It became popular because it added a few features, but mostly because it was made from a thicker material.

It certainly is a fine jig.

Geary/Backtrack switched to a thicker material, based on the builders feedback.

If you are not in a hurry, I would hold off ordering one, as Geary and I are working on a new concept jig.

I have one of the first Rick's Jigs. One thing I don't like about it is that the pins that align the rear axle are spaced very wide. I would like the pins to be close to the bearings, which it seems you can do with the jigs posted in this thread. This seems more accurate to me.

Why are there different rear axle pin locations length-wise on the jigs shown in the thread? I've always built chassis' with the rear axle as my zero line. I don't understand the purpose of the different locations.

Below is a link to a photo of a Rick's Jig like I have.
