Those McLarens and Chaparrals were the cars to beat. My favorite races of all, those Can-Ams.

I was lucky my older brother used to take me to see the Times Grand Prix and to see Indy car series at Riverside. We would park by the fence exiting turn 9.

At 10 years old I thought the Chaparral was the greatest thing. There were Can Am cars recently at Long Beach Grand Prix.
