15 Bean Soup®, AKA "Hurst's HamBeens" is the bomb-diggety of soup, IMO. Just follow the easy instructions. I've tried both the "Traditional" and "Quickcook" methods, and both work fine. I like to use hot smoked sausage.
They also sell a "Cajun" version, where the ingredients in the seasoning packet have a lot more "kick" – if you use all of it, keep some towels handy, it's got some power to it
