I am going start bracket racing a little. 1/8 mile. have been racing flexi cars and womps  as much as I can. I have always been into drag racing. So this seems to fit. I know people use all types of motors for bracket racing. I am going to build a no bar truck F150. I have several different motors. How about a hawk 25. Mini brute. Or a retro eagle?  Also throw some gearing ideas out. And tire sizes! Thanks

Consistent run ET is more important for brackets than speed.  If you use the lighter motors, gear them to run cool - even for the 1/8 mile.  With 1 to 1 1/8 tires, we gear the 25K motors (inline) 7/33  (48p) and never break one.

Thanks for the info Ramcatlarry. I was leaning towards a 25 motor. I have several. How wide of a tire would you suggest? thanks

I would keep it narrow - under 1/2" since the dragstrip has a tendency to be overglued and the 25k motors do not have a lot of torque to pull through it.
