Well how dare they! I live in Tampa, and nobody invited me over to play.
Looks like their shop might be closer to Spring Hill. I hear they’re looking for space in the North Tampa are for their three tracks

Here's some info from the Speed Sport Slot Car & Hobbies FB page;
As some may know, My Dad has fought stage 3 Cancer, is walking mostly with walker, but can take independent steps. Thank you for all the support and positive thoughts through this hard time. Dad fought and won so far!!
**So...That being said, Speed Sport Slot Car & Hobbies will be a place of continued healing, to bring back happiness, to bring back friends and their children. My Uncle Jesse, Dad and myself have been working endlessly to salvage 2 tracks that have been stored in a open garage setting for at least 3 years.
**We can say we HAVE A BLUE KING 155', AN ORANGE AMERICAN 110' AND 3 LANE DRAG STRIP.
I DO NEED SOME HELP AS MY UNCLE AND I CAN DO THE PHYSICAL WORK AND DAD HELPS AS HE CAN.
If anyone can volunteer their wood skills, If anyone would like to become a sponsor of some races, some stools, some showcase cabinets, cash register, someone that does credit card processing, any paint, bolts, power supplies, computer, large flat monitors, can find me the light tree for the drag strip, we are starting from scratch. Please let me know if you can help out in any manner, your sponsorship does roll over to my sprint car as well. Looking for at least 3000sq foot building with the possibility for a RC track as well. Anyone that knows me, I dont ask for anything, so know that this means the world to me.

Sounds like they are a long way from being a operating shop.
I wish them the best of luck.

Rent in Fla makes it impossible to make a living with a track. I must say the diversity of the Melbourne operation as a track and hobbie center ie rocketry,rc planes and cars.

Shame. Need a king in fla. Oh well.
Open one.
I took my turn as a track owner, now it's yours.
You might just enjoy it. I mostly enjoyed it but couldn't have done it without a partner that put in a bunch of hours. And, we had group of racers that often put the track's welfare ahead of their own racing program. That made it a true partnership and allowed us to continuously reinvest in the raceway.

The King from Peachtree City was stored in Maitland, Florida (an Orlando suburb) but it definitely went out west to someplace like Idaho. To the best of my knowledge it hasn't "surfaced" anywhere yet. The other tracks were also stored at the same place but I'm not sure where they are now or if they have even been moved.
The guy who had them had something to do with R/C stuff and was running his business out of a unit in one of those small industrial metal building "rows." Interestingly he was located just a couple of miles from where I grew up. In fact, I used to ride my bike up to this little BBQ place (now gone) that was just across the street from where he is located.
