I have this chassis, is it a Classic industries but without the engraving on the drop-arm? Is it BZ ?

Anybody know what car this belongs to?

It is raw (not anodized) by the way.

I believe it is a re-pop Classic Manta-Ray.

I had not considered it to a repop as it came with old worn and beat-up components. It had some bends that I fixed too.

Even the tape on the chassis was many years old, as in hard to remove.

You funny man.

I have been looking for this chassis without the Classic logo for a long time,so long in fact I just forgot what it was for and why It got my attention.

I want to say it was an early BZ car? But I am just not sure.

Pretty sure you are correct Martin. I think the early BZ's were a Classic clone.

Rats !, I tried and failed once again.

I think it was the first style for the BZ Black Beauty Green Hornet, if you need a body let me know.

I'm going to the post office next week.

BZ Black Beauty.   Good for you.    I saw it and couldn't tell for sure if the drop arm had engraving or nowl      It was the frame for the Ford GT and Ferrari and the BB.   Glad you got it.     Some guy in Mi is making some nice bodies and I have some stickers!

Now were talking.....Thanks guy for heading me in the right direction.

Matt, yes it was not clear to me either so I e-mailed the seller with the question.

BZ Aluminum Chassis

This chassis was almost identical to the one used by Classic Industries on their Manta Ray model. It actually came from the same supplier, and BZ also used it on their American Line models.
Designed to receive the endbell-side driven Mabuchi FT36 or FT36D, it was used in the BZ Green Hornet's "Black Beauty", Ford GT and Ferrari 275P models. A version was devised for the Little Red Wagon but at this time, only one factory prototype has been found.
Please note that the lettering on the drop arm came from the aluminum stock and was not removed by a cleaning process.

And a Green hornet body would get this project on track. I will PM you. Thanks Gene.
