A few Gents are cutting their own chassis, either from Aluminium or Magnesium, Others of us have snagged kit chassis off of Ebay (there is a Russkit blue right now there and there is that $1300 original too). Rick did make some chassis close to the K&B version. Then you can always brass tube one !

This is the type I'm looking for.
That beaut was mine! I sold it a couple of weeks ago outside of eBay. I forgot to take it down.

A couple of years ago I bought the last of Rick's chassis. He said they didn't sell well and had no plans to make more.
There's another guy that was making a Russkit style chassis. I also contacted him a couple of years ago and he said he had some left.

It is thin but seems strong enough by the time I join the pieces together it should be sturdy enough.! mm ? .040 thick? Wow, that's thin!
I have built one using this material before & it goes pretty good it's my Lindsay magnet car with a dc65 Pittman arm.

As an fellow vintage slot drag car enthusiast, thank-you for rekindling interest in this fascinating aspect of slot racing.
I want to invite y'all to participate in the Slot Car Drag Race Proxy World Challenge. We offer an opportunity for many classes (29 actually) of slot cars including vintage and reproduction cars. We have invested in a switchable 16/25/37 volt system with big capacitors and massive amperage to be sure any car sent run to it's full potential. I am putting effort and resources to make this a landmark event to grow the visibility of slot cars on a world stage.
We have classes and a format that we think you will appreciate. Please visit the webpage for full details. I look forward to hearing from you and especially for the honor of seeing your cars in the event.
