That's a great suggestion!

 

I've never been to a SCC, so I know I would enjoy viewing pictures that attendees had taken while visiting the conventions.

Any one with photos or narrative for the TOA/Parma Challenge Cup Conventions 2000+? Got to dig to find photos, but Cleveland had an all-star class of attendees and racers.

I know I was at the 2005 convention in Chandler, and I'm actually in the race results you posted, so that is confirmed.

 

I also know I was at a convvention at RadTrax in Vegas, because I clearly recall Alan Schwartz and I stayed in the same off-the-strip hotel with a full casino on the bottom floor. One very memorable and very late evening he and I sat at the bar in the casino until the wee hours, talking about slot racing and solving all the world's problems, before wobbling off to the elevator to go to our rooms.

 

Were there two conventions at RadTrax? The 2001 date doesn't seem right to me, as I don't think there was four years between the two I attended.

I met so many people and Slotblog members at these two conventions. Many remain friends to this day. And, of course, we've lost a few who were there, Rocky and Larry Shepard, whom I communicated with often until his tragic passing.

The 2005 convention was the seventh year of the event. I attended the 2003-2005 conventions
