Time stands still for no one and with it often comes changes. My wife Cheryl and I will be moving to Williamsport, PA, to help look after my 90-year-old mother-in-law.  

 

For the past seven years, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at BPR. It has been a blessing meeting, competing, and learning from some of the best slot car racers in the world. I really enjoyed creating and sharing some videos with you as well. I consider you my friends. What a blast sharing this wonderful hobby with you all. 

 

Rather than trying to list all the names and leave someone out, let me just say THANK YOU for the many great memories.

Have a good time in PA taking care of your 90-year old mother-in-law. Knowing you, this is what I expect something you would have no question doing.

 

It has been a pleasure sharing stories and racing. I know you will find a track to show up back there and continue making some great friends. And thank you for all the good times we shared.

Closest would be Bloom Raceway, although they recently sold their Engleman. They are probably mostly racing on a small oval.  There is a 6 lane hillclimb in York, then the small and fast hillclimb in Bally PA at Fast Tracks.  Flat track and oval in Hanover, a new place. Those are the closest places I'm aware of, that would be under 3 hours

 Good luck with your move. It has been a pleasure to call you a friend. I will miss the conversations in the car either on the way to BPR or on the way back to the Valley. Only got us lost once that I recall.

  You are to be commended on this move. You took care of your Dad and now you guys are moving all the way to PA to help take care of Cheryl’s Mom. All with dealing with your own health issues. You have a big heart my brother.

    When you first started racing the Retro Hawk Wing cars you ran a car that I built. I was nervous that I might have  overlooked something that would have caused you to drop out but the car ran good and you finished all 8 heats. You also ran an illegal body I did for one of the cars. Bill Taylor told me it was illegal because it was the only body in the race he didn’t paint...LOL. Thanks for trusting me.

     Hopefully you will find a track near you and continue racing. Again good luck and take care. Stay safe.

These days I haven’t been to Buena Park Raceway.
I had decided to race at 2121 Checkpoint Cup before this Corona Virus Pandemics happened but now I am waiting and see what will happen to us around the end of year.
My schedule of racing abroad were Retro Palooza at PJ Raceway in New York and perhaps Fall Brawl at Speed Zone in New Jersey but
I am afraid I won’t be able to race there.
I hope I will be able to race with you in major events on East Coast in near future.
