STR is located in Roseburg, Oregon. It is a private track. The same guys race at STR and Electron Raceway. STR races classes that are to OSCAR specs (for the most part). There are some exceptions including Econos, ProTrack and GT1). The OSCAR spec cars are scratch built brass and wire, inline, hinged jobs. Rear wheels are .790. The Econos are also scratch built but run with 1+ inch rears and although the chassis are scratch built and inline they have only a side to side or rattle motion. ProTrack classes use the old brass ProTrack or newer H&R chassis. The GT1 (which we run at Electron) use modified Production, H bracket chassis such as Plafit, Scaleauto, Scholer, etc.
Here is a link on slotblog showing classes and the track

Also, check out results - see the link and select a race. Many more images of the cars

BTW all classes except for Flexi use plastic model or in the case of Can Am resin bodies
Members paint and decal their cars.
If you like the Jalopies you might also like Electron Raceway's Early Modified class. It uses the Econo chassis with 32 to 48 bodies.
