Well, it was probably only a matter of time…
Cheater had made the gracious offer of a subforum some years back when I was starting the 1237-Series of scratchbuild chassis. (Thanks, Greg!) I honestly didn’t think much would come of it back then. To my surprise the 1237-Series has gone on much longer than I ever thought, and continues to generate new designs. So, more than four years and more than fifty 1237-Series designs and builds later, and along with the Just-For-Fun builds piling up, it was finally time to lump all this folderol in one place. Probably best to keep all this bent-wire weirdness in one padded room.
I might even try to post up some more design, build, or other related scratchbuilding threads here… that can be taken as a warning or a threat, depending on your frame of mind.
For those of you who have been following this mental mayhem from way back, my condolences. For those of you who are newer to this exhibition of disregard for scratchbuilding conventions, my apologies. But for all, if you get a confused head-shake, a disbelieving blink, or an understanding laugh from my small contribution to our shared love for this silly little slot car hobby, then it was more than worth it.
