*This just in from Electric Dreams*

Let’s share the good word!

We have a new track, and you’re invited to come and try it!
This is Cunningham Raceway, named after Clayton Cunningham and his daughter Kristin Cunningham Noval.
Clayton is a Le Mans, Sebring, and Daytona constructor winner - a long time El Segundo resident, and Electric Dreams’ racing consultant. Kristin is our shop manager and played a big part in Electric Dreams’ beginning.
The track is open Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM - and our loyal customers get free track time with any purchase.
Cunningham Raceway is a six-lane routed track with magnetic braid.
It has 95 feet of extension and supports both 1/24 and 1/32. It was built by Gary Gerding and designed by Scott Bader.
So, come on over! Bring your fastest slot car, your controller, and your mask. Respect social distancing and have a go on our newest addition!
Races to be scheduled soon. We’re planning to hold races on Saturdays, both Expert and Kids classes.

Looks like a great little flat track!! I'll definitely make some time to get down to play on it.  Retro cars would be great---flexi's with Hawk motors will be killer.

Fun fun fun!!

She's real fine, my 409!!!

Electric Dreams is a store that sells slot car sets, cars, and parts, for a variety of scales, They're open for foot traffic (car traffic, since it's too far to walk there from anywhere!) and online sales. They just put in this track so customers who do drop by to shop can spend some time running their cars on a nice large track. And, as was stated, they'll be starting up a racing program.  *Note: This is not an official reply.

I see that Chris S. is there checking out the track. I presume that it will be a no glue track

Even behind a mask, Chris can run but he can't hide!  :-)

Rumor has it that it could be glued for certain races that require it. Most of the time it will be as is, best for RTR cars, I think.

Four-inch lane spacing means tight racing for 1/24, but fine for 1/32.

Hey guys, I’ve been working with Scott, Robert, and Kristin for the past 9 months. We decided to transform the old Electric Dreams warehouse into a proper store. A lot of work done, and a great team was helping us out. Scott brought some pieces of his real scale collection to display at the store. We have a real Nascar used by Kyle Petty (Mello Yello - Days of Thunder), the original Herbie from “Herbie: Fully Loaded”, and the nose piece of Chuck Parson’s 1969 Can-Am Lola T-163 hanging on the wall. Plus a big 60's dragster, a F500 chassis, the doors of a Le Mans winning car and some pieces of Ronnie Petersen's F1 March 701.

The stock was re-organized, the website revamped, and we are receiving parts and cars everyday.

The new track came a week ago - Gary was here to put it together. It was designed for both 1/32 and 1/24 scales - focusing on the cars that we sell. 1/32 replicas like Scalextric, Slot.it, NSR, ThunderSlot, BRM, Carrera, Revo, Ninco, Fly, and others. The track has magnetic braids, and cars run great out of the box. So, you can get a $25.99 Scalextric car and have some fun right away.

The track is 95ft long, 6-lane, and equipped with Lapmaster.

It’s not decided yet which classes are we’ll be running in the future - but as soon as we kick the *** of that pandemic - we’ll have a full “party mode” to receive racers: colossal parking lot, tents outside, tables, and over 40 seats.

Other classes like Keith Tanaka’s hardbodies and even (maybe) some SCCRA cars could race there. We need to figure out how to prep the track and clean it afterward. But that’s a plan for the future.

If you wear a mask and respect social distancing - you’re welcoming to come and go for some laps.

Especially you, Mr. Low - long time no see!
