I was wondering you guys knew about any other 65 GT350 Slot cars or bodies. I own a 1965 Eldon GT350 that I've made look really great, and I know Revell made an R-model body and that K and B made a GT350, I also own the October 1965 issue of Car Model that has the GT350 article.

Is that a slot car or a static kit? If it's a slot car I better get one!

I would like to get the K and B Slot Car but they are very rare and when they come up they go $125-150 when there in good condition. I don't even know how much a mint boxed example like the one pictured would go for.

Hi, Matt I've looked and drawn that conclusion as over I would say 5 years I have only seen one and it was at 100 and the bumper was missing. And I have seen many GTO's, a couple Ford GT's, no Cuda's, and a couple Corvair's. Your project looks great, what is the chassis from? Are those Dynamic Mags?

Issac, the wheels are Dynamic and I will put some pix when it's painted and done. The K&B/Aurora Mustang is very common. I'm sure I have seen 5-10 on Ebay in the last 2 weeks, Do you watch all auctions of 1/32 vintage slot cars?

I do watch the 1/24 and 1/32 pre-1970 auctions on Ebay and what I think your seeing is the normal Fastback with the aluminum wheels, yellow body, no hood scoop, and stripes that are not the correct Le Mans stripes. The body on those in primarily the same but I would want to be correct. The 2nd photo is what the correct car should look like when completed that one is on Ebay right now but is at $150 and is with a Ford GT

The one on Ebay is also in pretty beat up shape so I wouldn't bid on it.

Looks like the same body except the the white body has a hood scoop glued on. The cars sold as kits by K&B did have threaded axles and chrome wheel inserts, but otherwise I think the molded parts are all the same. The Aurora set cars came with push on wheels (if I rmember right) and no wheel inserts.

The hood scoop was glued on (hood scoop came in the kit) and the molded parts are the same. But I think that the GT350 kit car had press on's and the set cars have the 5-40 aluminum wheels. I also realized that the set cars have painted on stripes so if you wanted to make a GT350 out of it it would look pretty funny.

Hertz cars are some of my favorites. Looks great, have you tracked it yet? I have always wondered how good a quality those Revell chassis are.

Issac, I know you only collect 1/32 and 1/24 but Road Race Replicas made some beautiful Hertz GT Mustangs in HO scale. They have the standard Aurora Tjet chassis and are a exact copy down to the Mag wheels that came on the original car from Hertz.
Best Regards,
Don

I do like the road race replicas cars, many of the good colors are sold out though.
