Anybody have this book? Looks good but super pricey. I would love a vintage slot lover to give me an opinion on it.

I don't recall ever seeing that one before, but I want one!

Isn't this the book that was written in Germany and sold for $450-$500? If it is, probably not many copies in the US. You could re-ask your question on a more international slot car board, like SlotForum for a broader range of answers.

Try using the Slotblog search engine (the trick is, click on the green button).
This book has been discussed here before.

My awesome wife bought one for me a couple of years ago. It is incredible. I still have barely scratched the surface of what’s inside. It’s great because it’s like a peak into my past as I grew up in my raceway from the age of seven. The only minor issue is it is so big and heavy it’s not a “lap” book. Gotta read it a the table.
That being said, I can’t wait for PDLs book!!!

I would say that I have more table books than "lap" books. I thought PdL had a book called Vintage Slot Cars? It's not nearly as much but still quite a bit for me so I still don't have it.

That book was evidently self-published by the author. His website states two printings were 100% sold out & there wouldn't be a third printing unless he got enough interest. It also indicated that if a third printing was done, it wouldn't be done until 2016 with a price and no third printing was ddone. 489 euros ($579.71)...
No further information was posted on the website. Sounds to me like little interest was generated, so a third printing was never done.

Oliver is a friend and I've asked repeatedly that if spare copies ever come up I have friends in the US that want them. He has never had any come back.
I spoke to him at Slotmania (in Stuttgart) last year and he has another version in the works. This one would be two thinner volumes with corrections and additions and... I know he had been working on a house in another country, and then COVID this year, so... In fact, I was supposed to be at his home near Frankfurt in March before Slotmania for some racing, but stupid COVID!
