This is a follow-up to the thread that started as a question about a Dynamic sidewinder with an NCC20 motor. I mentioned that I had bought a unique variation of the sidewinder chassis. Couldn't remember where I stored it. Found it. It is definitely a production piece, unless by chance it is a pre-production or prototype piece. I was going to set it up as a runner, only to find that the chassis was skewed almost 1/8". Had to do serious rebending of the rear upright by the gear to get the car to sit straight, and I think it would be too delicate to take a hit on the track, so it remains a display piece. Here it is Mike Swiss.

Very cool.
Looks pretty identical, except for the hole in front of the motor.
It might be worth big money, from someone like Scott Bader.
PS-I'm a bit confused by the title of the thread.
Is it aluminum or steel?
The drop arm looks to be brass, like the regular ones.

A magnet doesn't stick, so I guess it's aluminum. Also, the upright bent pretty easily, so that should have been a hint.

That is a very fascinating piece, thanks for sharing.
Looks/sounds like more of a preproduction prototype, maybe Dynamic playing around with various materials.
