Is this the King track from Peachtree City?
Jay, this is an Ogilvie. Last located in Raytown, MO.
It is said to have hosted a Nats race at some point in its history but I can't attest to any of it's history.
The track is what I would call a driver's King. A bit more banking that an AMR King. Primarily the deadman and lead on but still not a punch bowl.
We raced a variety of flexi cars and Group F and were working on starting IRRA Retro racing when the shop closed.
The shop will also house a Hillclimb, builder not know, which came from Jonesboro, AR. Also a large tri-oval a 1000' (scale) drag strip

The track was located about a mile from my mom's house in Kansas City and I would go there when I was in town. It's a nice track and I'm glad to hear it is living on!

Kevin,
Just to be clear, this raceway project is managed by Alan Dodson, and owned by Ken Erxleben.
It's their hard work and vision that is bringing this project together. I'm just the guy who is trying to keep the social media going.
We are developing a community of enthusiastic racers from all aspects of the model car racing world. Drag racing guys have pitched in and extended the drag strip to a full 1/24 quarter mile.
Today the HO guys began setting up a custom built table for a 4 lane Viper track that is being provided by the racers themselves! An HO drag strip is expected soon.
We've had help from some of the Raytown, MO, guys, who want to make sure "their" old King track is being taken care of. They got to run on the track for the first time in a couple years, and have been hard at work building race director stands for each track as well as helping with the refurbishment of the Hill Climb.
We are hopeful of having a place for the R/C guys as well, but that is still in the planning stage.
Some old "retired" local racers are coming around and bringing their kids, grandkids and old cars to play on the King and Tri-Oval.
Please visit and "Like" our Facebook page for more progress. A big thanks to all who have and will help with this project.
We have set a goal to open by September 1, 2020. Watch us grow!

Tri-oval is nearly done! King is running, needs infield.
Hillclimb is coming along and visible in the background is the table for the HO track.

The raceway looks awesome best of luck. If you get a chance see if you can find the # and date of manufacture of the King, under the track near the middle of the drivers panel. The track looks like new, great job. Steve
